Montgomery County (MD) Planning Department, has a summer internship program (plus quite a few DCRP grads on staff). More information is available on the agency web site www.MontgomeryPlanning.org. Not to be too discouraging but many government agencies in the DC area have substantial budget shortfalls and are instituting hiring freezes. Usually internship programs are exempted from hiring freezes.
