Our planning and design expertise is sought by communities across the country to improve residents’ transportation options and quality of life. As a Planner I with Toole Design Group, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge of planning concepts and the planning process, and your creativity and energy to innovative and unique projects nationwide. In this role, you will learn about best practices in community planning and will learn from experts in the field of multi-modal transportation. You will participate in all stages of plan development including presentations, public participation, client meetings, research, fieldwork, mapping, and writing, and will have the opportunity for travel and advancement.
We are seeking motivated individuals who will thrive in our collaborative, fun and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have an undergraduate and/or master’s degree in Planning or a related field, a minimum of one year of experience (internships acceptable), and excellent writing/research/communication skills. This position has the potential for advancement to a Project Management level, given the right skills.
This full time position includes competitive benefits package, including health insurance, universal leave, and a retirement plan that is matched by the company. Our office is walking distance from the Washington DC METRO, and we offer financial incentives to employees who use transit, walk or bicycle to work. Salary range: $40,000 - $55,000, depending on qualifications.
