Community and Economic Development Internship

The Community and Economic Development Program at the UNC School of Government is seeking a full-time summer intern to provide research support to faculty and staff engaged in an economic development planning and assessment project in Cumberland County, NC. Work will consist primarily of “best practice” research and the production of a series of short economic development case studies. Secondary tasks may include helping prepare presentations, conducting interviews, and assisting with project logistics. Intern may have the opportunity to present his/her research product to the project team and client at the conclusion of summer internship. This is an ideal internship for a graduate student with an interest in economic development and/or public policy consulting/research.

Required Qualifications: B.A., Graduate students in public administration, planning, business, and/or public policy preferred.

Compensation and Schedule: This will be a 10-week, full-time summer internship. Start/end date and work hours are flexible. Compensation will be $15.00/hour.
