Position Description: Internship program designed to provide undergraduate and graduate level students an opportunity to participate and gain valuable experience in the areas of Current Planning, Urban Design, Planning Administration or City and Regional Planning. The intern will focus on assisting the Department with the Comprehensive Plan, Downtown Interim Plan, and Public Participation Planning. Applicants should be professional, motivated, and take initiative. Applicants must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel. Additional Intern responsibilities include: shadowing the Department head and managers; attending City Council, community, and departmental meetings; and presenting the results of a major project at the end of the internship.
