Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, In

Sustainability Planning (Transportation - Airport planning)
Watertown,
MA

We are looking for two very smart, highly motivated individuals to join a successful, growing sustainability planning practice in an entrepreneurial, private consulting firm.

Our sustainability practice is focused on airport clients located all over the US and private clients (retail, residential, corporate, institutional) on the east coast. VHB (www.vhb.com) is a transportation, environmental, urban planning, and land development services company with 40 LEED-accredited professionals among our 900 Employees in 14 East Coast Offices. We became the first carbon-neutral engineering firm in the US several years ago and have participated in 75 LEED-certified projects, including the first LEED portfolio project in the nation, for 51 supermarkets for our long-term client, Stop&Shop. Corporately, we practice what we preach on sustainability and “best places to work.”

Our airport clients include San Francisco, Boston, Philadelphia Baltimore/Washington, Las Vegas, Providence (RI) and Manchester (NH). We currently have teed up sustainability services for several airports; however, these positions are for other work, as well. One position is for a recent grad (0-2 years experience) and the other is for a mid-level (3-8 years) planner. Both need to have excellent writing and verbal communication skills and should be people who would thrive in an exciting, fast-paced, and varied work environment. We would prefer the team members to be located with our airports and our main sustainability team outside Boston, but are open to location at our other offices.

Please feel forward to this message to qualified candidates. You or potential candidates should feel free to contact me (Marla Engel, AICP (DCRP ’87), at 617 607 2903 or via email (mengel@vhb.com). I will be out of the US August 4-26, at which time potential candidates should feel free to contact Leo Roy or Carol Lurie at 617-924-1770.
