Project Manager – Multifamily Development and Funding
Affordable Housing – Low Income Housing Tax Credits and HUD

Hartford, CT area

Management Recruiters of Shorewood’s client, a developer of affordable multifamily properties, is looking for a Project Manager who will see a project from the feasibility and the initial application for funding to closing.

Duties of the position are:

  • Develop high-quality funding applications of state and federal government-sponsored real estate financing programs including Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and HUD programs
  • Identify and assess the feasibility of new development opportunities
  • Determine project scope
  • Prepare financial proforma
  • Oversee and coordinate development team
  • Guide projects through public approvals including zoning and permitting
  • Object project financing
  • Conduct project due diligence to assure project completion

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and other state and federal real estate financing programs experience
  • Successful history of obtaining funding and tax credits for potential developments
  • Familiarity with CT state financing applications preferred
  • Demonstrated skills in real estate financials and construction
  • Experience in dealing with the legal aspects of real estate development
  • Demonstrated ability to work in development of complex residential projects that involve multiple sources of public and private financing
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • Experience in guiding projects successfully through zoning and permitting and obtaining community support preferred
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft including Excel
  • Minimum of five years (more preferred) in residential project management
