Primary Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Manager, the Transportation Funding Coordinator is responsible to secure or extend existing funding sources, research and increase, both the variety and amount of future funding sources, and perform associated tasks.
- Facilitate funding for the integration between transportation and land use planning and implementation.
- Administer the current federal aid and other funding programs and complete compliance packages and documentation for funding sources.
- Establish and facilitate collaboration between stakeholders and work as the ACHD liaison for partnering agencies and groups.
- Coordinate with District departments on applications for funding and assist in coordinating legislative efforts related to revenue pursuits.
Qualifications:
· The successful candidate must have knowledge of Federal Aid funding sources and grant application procedures; Innovative funding techniques for transportation related projects; and Grant administration experience.
· Proven ability to facilitate constructive dialogue related to funding and planning issues is required.
- Must have effective writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively.
- Experience working with federal funding programs and other sources of funding; and graduation from a college or university with a degree in business, public administration, political science or related field is preferred.
- Certified Grant Administrator is a plus.
- OR an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be acceptable.
