The incumbent serves as the principal advisor to the Director, Buildings and Facilities Office (BFO), on matters relating to the economics, social analysis, community and public health impact analysis of BFO transportation programs; and as the planning coordinator in contract and policy development and implementation, management, and administration of key transportation-related programs. Responsible for planning, initiating and conducting a wide variety of analytical studies necessary to provide a rational basis for key policy and program decisions to enhance and promote transportation related programs. Conducts negotiations to implement specific action on a variety of transportation-related issues necessary to track current and direct future transportation planning efforts. Develops strategies and recommendations for the transportation program and transportation and air quality related issues. Serves as the subject matter expert for the development, sustainment, and administration of a comprehensive transportation program that offers and encourages alternative transportation solutions for employee commuting. Establishes and maintains liaisons and network with various local, regional, state and national agencies involved in the administration and support of ridesharing, transportation and air quality programs. Initiates customer surveys and needs assessments. Creates data-based analyses incorporating survey results with reports of parking lot usage, vanpool usage, shuttle usage, and other transportation related programs and services. Provides oral and written information, reports and statistics on program.

Basic Requirements:
Degree: community planning; or related field such as urban affairs, architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, sociology, geography, economics, political science, or public administration that included at least 12 semester hours in the planning process, socioeconomic and physical elements of planning, urban and regional

economic analysis, and development finance.

OR

Combination of education and experience--courses equivalent to a major in one of the above disciplines, or a combination of related courses totaling at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the above disciplines of which at least 12 semester hours were in the planning process, and socioeconomic and physical elements of

planning, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
